REQUIREMENTS : A qualification at NQF degree 4 as acknowledged via SAQA. Valid drivers license, with the exception of applicants with disabilities. Skills: Knowledge of relevant Acts and regulations, street preservation manual, roads running machinery, fitness and security measures, roads production strategies and processes.
DUTIES : Support Road development or protection work through: Construction of culvert and side drains. Erect and maintain metal guardrail and gabions. Construction of street earth and layer works. Clean and preserve roads, sidewalks and resting areas. Surfacing and pothole patching. Road fencing and pipe laying. Setting of road markings/signs. Install street signs and barricade the work area. Supervise things to do in appreciate of avenue building or renovation work through: Application of safety and precautionary measures. Conduct inspection. Exercise manage over tools, substances and different equipment. Allocate tasks and oversee work performance. Maintenance of Equipment. Co-ordinate the blading program.
